Jean Pierre Jacob, began in 1972. From 1974 to 1979, he performs a tour around France into Great Gourmet Houses.
In 1980, he joins the family business to share his knowledge. At this time, his parents were honor of 2 restaurants called Le Bateau Ivre in Le Bourget du Lac and in Courchevel.
In 1984, he obtained the first Michelin star for his restaurant in Le Bourget du Lac (then located at the Grange in Le Bourget du Lac) and in 1986 for Courchevel. Le Bateau Ivre won its first Michelin star in 1984, followed by the Bateau Ivre in Courchevel in 1986. His talent as a Grand gastronomic Chef was confirmed when he won the secon star Michelin in 1987. In 1995, he transferred Le Bateau Ivre at Ombremont Hotel where he got the first star in 1996 and the second in 2000.
